According to the Irish Examiner:
With U2 not touring last year, the figures show that the only Irish band to make the top 100 in terms of worldwide grossing tours was The Script, led by Danny O’Donoghue, from Dublin. The figures show the band’s concerts generated $15.1m at the box office with a total of 294,404 paying to see the group at 28 concerts in 23 cities that included three sold-out gigs at Dublin’s O2. The band — ranked 97 in the top 100 grossing tours — generated box office receipts of $656,522 per gig.
Well done lads, hard work pays out!
