I believe that everyone’s an artist and everything’s a muse. When I started The Talent Corner I did so to collect and share your creations because believe me, they deserve the recognition. #TheScriptChallenge is part of that.
Sometimes you can’t stop your creative juices flowing, other times it seems like they totally dried out. Sometimes all it takes is a little push to start something that’ll make you happy.
For me, this blog is a great example. I love writing but don’t have the confidence to rely on it so writing about The Script is great practice. I’ve learned so much in the past 2 years not just about the lads and their music but about myself as well. But I’d also like to learn more about you, helping you and testing the boundaries of your talent. So I hope you’ll join #TheScriptChallenge from the 17th of August, and will use the line of the week as a prompt for your art. (Click here to see how.)
If it’s Wednesday, it’s quotes
From next week every Tuesday I’ll share quotes from The Script about the song of the week but for now, I’d like to share some tweets about their appreciation of art. They often share edits, drawings, acknowledge the gifts they received, recommend books and music, share their favourite quotes.
Edits are probably the most shared form of art on their twitter and it’s great to see how that line of a song transforms into a visual art.
I’ve seen so many extraordinary drawings, it’s amazing how much talent you lot have.
There are more and more videos made as well and I think it’s a form of art that takes a lot of practice and a lot of patience so I hope you’ll use #TheScriptChallenge to do some short ones.
Fan books are a great way to share our thoughts with the lads, show them how much they mean to us.
In return they share the books they read:
Glen often shares quotes that touched him in one way or another:
And they’re generous with compliments to other artists as well, sharing the music they enjoy 🙂
Join any time!
To join all you need to do is send an “art” with the line of the week, shared on Mondays from the 17th of August. Check the schedule here.
When I say “art”, I use it in the widest of sense: it can be a drawing, painting, montage, photograph, digital or manual art, edits, videos, gifs, short stories, poems, real life stories, blog posts and anything else you can think of when you say art. Don’t limit yourself with the format.
Please include the line of the week in your art. It doesn’t have to be featured as the main piece but it has to be included at least in the caption.
Only submissions sent until midnight Dublin time on Saturday will be included in the weekly challenge.
You’ve probably noticed, I really like hashtags, so please humour me, and use#TheScriptChallenge when you share your art on social media. 🙂
You don’t have to do it every week: you can join whenever you feel like it. No excuse not to do it, really! 🙂 The more you do the better of course and to implement that above mentioned regularity there are special prizes for the “frequent fliers” 🙂
Hope to see you next week!
