#TheScriptChallenge: Breakeven – my entry

“They say bad things happen for a reason but no wise words gonna stop the bleeding”

This week my entry to #TheScriptChallenge features an extract from my fantasy novel, Sinmar Rises. Told from the perspectives of three women, this is a story of how the greater good never excuses abandoning your loved ones. Hope you’ll like it!

If you’d like to take part in the challenge, check the instructions here.

The prophecy of Razaneth

They say – the words of prophecy, listen carefully
Bad things – can be prevented if you follow this; it won’t
Happen for – a long time, only long after I die,
A reason – for unity but I hear war cries.
But no – other child will beat the miracle
Wise words – will guide him to be emperor
Gonna stop – the fighting, unite nations,
The bleeding – is the price for his incarnation.

The prophecy of Grocco

The child will come they say,
The one that ends bad things,
The one everything will happen for.
He is giving us a reason
To believe in the lost world but no
Army can stop him, his wise words
Will save us all, he’s gonna stop
The evil forces, end the bleeding
Of our children.

Read the first chapter here if you’re intrigued about the prophecies 🙂

You’ve until Saturday midnight Dublin time to send in your art featuring the line
“They say bad things happen for a reason but no wise words gonna stop the bleeding”
