I’m really proud of being able to organise it for you, you’ve submitted 694 votes in total (wow!) and 60% of them went for Headway.
It is an organisation that a lot of you have supported before and an organisation that gave a lot of help to Glen after his accident, and also to Danny and his family when his mam had an aneurysm. The band itself did a lot of promotions for Headway, from Glen’s videos to raising awareness on twitter, and now we’ll be able to give something ourselves.I can’t wait to make it happen and I’m very proud of all of you for taking the time to support a charity. We rock folks, we really do 🙂
What is #MeetTheScriptFamily?
It’s a fan meetup celebrating our global family from all over the world coming to Dublin to share the special moment with The Script where they play their sold-out gig in Croke Park, Ireland’s biggest venue. (Phew, quite a mouthful when I put it that way! lol)
When are we meeting?
We’re meeting the night before the gig, the 19th of June, in Temple Bar’s Badbobs. I’m sure a lot of us will also meet after the gig so don’t worry if you only arrive to Dublin on the 20th: we’re taking over the whole city! (Dublin, be warned lol)
Who can come?
It’s a ticketed event so you will need to purchase an entry ticket in advance. All profit from your tickets will be given to Headway. Me and anyone else helping out with the organisation are donating our time to make sure that we’re gonna have an unforgettable evening. The costs paid from the fees are money to the pub, and covering the costs of any additional programs which I’ll share all here so you’ll be able to see where your money goes.
What about those who won’t be in Dublin at the time?
I know a lot of you can’t actually come to the meetup in June but would love to be able to contribute to support Headway. Hopefully some of the raffle/auction can be done online so stay tuned. 🙂
